There will always be someone there to sell me another product that will save me from some horrific outcome. The trouble is that it is very difficult to decide what odds matter to me and to tell what the short and long term financial/biological effects the given product might have (e.g. what is the cost/benefit analysis of cancer insurance? how about for a hepatitus B vaccine?) Given all of that, I can't argue with anyone's decision to immunize or not. Once you clear through the scare tactics and contextualize the data on both sides, the choice largely comes down to what feels right to each individual. One might call it faith-based medicine.Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13911644689635534904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-577874899733707685.post-7533231465547025402010-11-25T06:52:17.133-05:002010-11-25T06:52:17.133-05:00medical. not medial. :( stooopid typosmedical. not medial. :( stooopid typosWockethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03434692347924718517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-577874899733707685.post-19343065007233119502010-11-25T04:00:22.529-05:002010-11-25T04:00:22.529-05:00We do the vaccination thing as recommended but I g...We do the vaccination thing as recommended but I get the feeling from your post that the American vaccinations can and are influenced by the Drug companies.

Here there are not allowed to be marketed in any way, and the choice of vaccination branding isn't mentioned, ever. This gives them a lot less power and hopefully a more scientific grounding to the medial and epidemiological decisions that are made on a higher level.

I've been influenced to be a pro immunization mum by my time working for a government funded medial research center and reading some of the journal articles published about outcomes for non-immunized children in poorer nations. I'm not afraid to say that some of those outcomes scared the hell out of me.

I know that there is a risk of a bad reaction to some of these drugs in the short term, and that also scared me, especially the first time they where done. Such a hard decision to undertake.

Whatever you decide to do i can only reccomend that you get a balanced peer reviwed version from both sides of the fence and not rely just on the misinformed (often on both sides are) online opinions.

I'm glad that you've though all this through and are being careful about finding a reliable Dr too!

:)Wockethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03434692347924718517noreply@blogger.com
